Hoeser, Ronald J. (10 SEP 1933 – 3 MAY 2016)

RONALD J. "RONNIE" HOESER, age 82, of Loyal, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Friday, May 6, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. Rev. Steve Brice will officiate and burial will follow in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Craig Brandt, Jack Barrett, David Hesse, Perry Oestreich, Duane Poehnelt and Randy Anderson. Military rites will be conducted by the Loyal American Legion Post #175. Visitation will be held at the church, on Friday, from 12 noon until time of service.

Ronald Joseph Hoeser was born on September 10, 1933 in Granton, WI, to Lenus A. "Leon" and Florence M. (Beaver) Hoeser. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at St. Anthony Catholic School and Loyal High School. Ronnie worked at Weyerhauser in Marshfield for 1 year, before being inducted into the U.S. Army on ?. He served until his honorable discharge on ? After returning to Loyal, Ronnie worked at Randt's Cheese Factory as a licensed cheese maker for 9 years. He was united in marriage to June Elizabeth Braun on May 9, 1959 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, in Loyal. In 1963 they bought the Elmer Sterr farm, where they raised their family and farmed until retiring in 1993. They moved into Loyal and Ronnie went to work for Northside Elevator until 2008.

He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Our Lady of Fatima Council #4963, and the Loyal American Legion Post #175.

Ronnie had many interests, but especially loved spending time with his family, farming and the Packers.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, June, of Loyal; his daughter: Liz (Wade) Vaughan of Spencer; 2 grandchildren: Nick and Lindsey Vaughan of Spencer; one brother: Jim (Kathie) Hoeser of Wauwatosa; 2 sisters: Barbara (Gary) Millard of Marshfield, Mary Ellen (Gary) Pradarelli of Scottsdale, AZ; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David, on February 13, 1979; one brother, Dale Hoeser; one nephew: Robert Hoeser; and one nephew-in-law: John Meyer.

Ronnie's family would like to thank the staff at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, in Medford, for their excellent care and compassion given to him during the past several months.
