Thirty-five relatives attended a surprise party Sunday, January 22, 1961, at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Viv Cateron in honor of the 75th birthday of her brother,
William Richmond. Two of his children and all of his brothers and sisters were
present, except Mrs. Eunice Froehlich, who is spending the winter at Hot
Springs, Arkansas.
Besides the honor guests, those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Louis (Dorothy)
Kretlow and Gloria of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Richmond and Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Harp of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Richmond and family, Mr. and
Mrs. Jesse Richmond, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Richmond and Barbara, all of
Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Richmond Jr., and Carole and Karen of Granton;
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schwarze, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Richmond and Caryl, Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Horn and Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Richmond and Wayne, and Mr. and Mrs.
Viv Carteron, Greenwood. Amon the gifts received were a gold wrist watch from
his two daughters, Mrs. Ketlow and Mrs. Leslie (Birdene) Gruezmacher of Oaklawn,
Ill. The latter could not be present for the occasion.
