Mrs. Jo Ann Meinholdt, Greenwood High School hot lunch manager and cook, has
been awarded a $25.00 prize in the National Gage Products Recipe Contest for her
"Ship-Wreck" recipe.
The Gage Recipe Contest was open to all dieticians, school lunch cooks, hospital
institutions and hotel cooks extending from January 1, 1960 to December 31,
1960. The requirements of the contest were that each recipe must contain Gage
products and U.S.D.A. Commodities. The pupose of the contest is to assist in the
project of improving school lunch by sharing knowledge with other large quantity
cooks.
Mrs. Meinholdt has been the hot lunch cook and manager in the Greenwood High
School for the past three years. She is the wife of Oscar (Doc) Meinholdt. The
have one daughter, Ida Gene.
