Stenulson, Rolland Lester (21 July 1937 - 6 May 2016) With Flag
Rolland Stenulson, 78, of Neillsville died Friday, May 6, 2016, at his home.
Roland Lester Stenulson was born July 21, 1937 in Black River Falls, the son of
Richard and Lyda (Hubert) Stenulson. After his schooling, he farmed on the
Willard Hart Farm and then served in the United States Army as a paratrooper for
three years.
He was united in marriage Jan. 2, 1957, to Janice Schutte at St. John’s Lutheran
Church in Neillsville. In their early years of marriage they lived in several
locations and Rolland worked mostly as a mechanic, but he also did roofing and
worked in a lumberyard. They lived in Beloit for many years, and Rolland worked
at Daimler Chrysler for a period and also Schoonover Salvage Yard. In 1999, they
move to Neillsville. Janice died Aug. 17, 2005.
He is survived by five children: Rick Stenulson of Granton, Gene (Becky Crowley)
Stenulson of Granton, Cliff (Candy) Stenulson of Beloit, Jackie (Kenneth) White
of Bowling Green, KY, and Virginia (Les) Hullah of Shopiere; 15 grandchildren;
five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and four siblings: Robert
(Anita) Stenulson of Orville, CA, Floyd Stenulson of Black River Falls, Grace
Williams of Warrens and Delores Newcom of Footville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice.
Funeral services for Rolland will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday May 14, 2016, at
the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, with visitation one hour prior to the
service. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
