Washington, D.C., Aug 2, 1961 – Irving Timmler, Route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), has been selected to take a prominent part in the unique 1961 Youth
Program of the 33rd annual national farm business conference of the American
Institute of Cooperation at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, August
20-23, when he will served on panel in Section 22, Monday, discussing, "The
Future of Cooperatives in My Community."
Youth delegates will engage in panel discussions on ways to be successful in
farming and other careers in the agricultural business world, and on how to
utilize the services of farm purchasing and marketing organizations. They will
study the American Economic System and the future of cooperatives in the private
enterprise system. They will take a never-to-be forgotten tour in the
Minneapolis-St. Paul area of farms and processing plants. They will meet heads
of U.S. and Canadian rural youth groups, and young people from other foreign
countries to swap personal experiences.
