13-29 Drive-in theater opens Friday
The Abbotsford and Colby chambers of commerce offered congratulations to Robert
Hodd on the completion and opening of the 13-29 Drive-in movie theater in a full
page ad May 14.
The chamber of commerce salute you in helping the progress of our two fine
communities, the ad states. “Much luck and many years of success are our wished
to you.”
The 13-29 Drive-in, located between Colby and Abbotsford on Hwy. 13 officially
opens Friday, May 15, 1970 with a double feature including “Journey to the Far
Side of the Sun: and “Eye of the Cat.”
Shows start at dusk Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
