McCarron, Janis Pauline (Zier) (1 APR 1938 - 28 APR 2016)
Janis Pauline (Zier) McCarron died on April 28th, 2016 at Cornerstone Hospital,
Tucson, Arizona.
Janis was born on April 1, 1938, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin to Clarence and Wilma (Sabaska)
Zier.
She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1956 and from UW-Eau Claire in
1961. She taught music and elementary education in the Colby School District for
many years.
She married Neil McCarron on August 1st, 1964. He died in 1984. She was active
in golf and bowling her entire life but her real passion was photography.
She is survived by one brother, Sam (Linnea) Zier of Abbotsford, Wisconsin; two
sisters, Rebecca (Sid) Johnson of Tucson, Arizona and Debbie (Louie) Murray of
Melrose, Wisconsin, and one sister-in-law, Diane Zier of Amherst, Wisconsin and
their families. She is also survived by her fiancé of eight years, Tom Foust, of
Tucson and many cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, her
parents, and her brother, Dan.
No service is planned. There will be a private inurnment. Rebecca and Sid
Johnson will hold an informal open house at their home in Tucson in Janis' honor
on May 21, 2016 at 4:00 p.m.
