Punke, Helen L. (Schultheiss) (10 SEP 1918 - 6 MAR 2004)
Helen L. Punke 85, Rib Falls, died Saturday, March 6, 2004 at her farm.
She was born September 10, 1918 in Wisconsin, daughter of the late Alfred and
Lina (Troesch) Schultheiss.
On June 26, 1940, she married Rudolph "Rudy" Punke at St. Stephen Lutheran
Church, Edgar. He preceded her in death.
Helen had a dairy farm and riding stable in the town of Rib Falls. She was
leader for the 4-H Club, Edgar and also took in many area children teaching
horsemanship and the responsibility of a good days work.
Helen was proud to show her horses in parades, in numerous riding clubs in which
she received many trophies. Her pride and joy were her horses and shelties.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00
a.m. Friday, March 12, 2004 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar. Burial
will be in the Edgar Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and again from 10:00 a.m.
Friday until the time of services all the Edgar funeral home. In lieu of
flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Online condolences at
