Hraby, Geraldine “Gerry” M. (16 JAN 1921 - 20 MAY 2016)

Geraldine “Gerry” M. Hraby, age 95, of N2156 County Road C, Medford, a Township of Deer Creek resident, passed away Friday, May 20, at Aspirus Care and Rehab, Medford where she had resided for the past 4 months.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 23, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville, with Rev. James H. Babler officiating. Interment will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Her grandchildren will be pallbearers, Todd, Terry and Travis Albrecht, Tanya Clyde, Lee, Lyle, Liza, Dave and Jason Hraby, Ryan Bahr.

Visitation will be at 4 – 7 PM Sunday, May 22 at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford and also from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Monday, May 23 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville.

Gerry was born on January 16, 1921, in the Town of Little Black, to William and Minnie (Janoske) Peche.

She attended Little White School, Town of Little Black. On October 4, 1947, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville, Gerry married Edward F. Hraby. He preceded her in death May 29, 2005.

Prior to her marriage, she worked in Chicago for 9 years at Eversharp Pens and Pencil factory. After their marriage, she farmed in the Town of Deer Creek for many years until retirement. She enjoyed playing cards, sewing, fishing, gardening, crafts and her grandchildren. She was also active in the Gad Go Getters 4-H Club.

Gerry was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Stetsonville and its Ladies Aid and the Sunny Hill Homemakers Club for many years.

She is survived by her children, Diane (Bruce) Albrecht of Medford and Leon (Linda) Hraby of Medford; daughter-in-law: Lynette (Duane) Bahr of Medford; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 3 great step grandchildren; sister – Dorothy Reimann of Milwaukee; sister-in-law: Darlene Peche of Medford.

Gerry is predeceased by her husband, Edward F. Hraby, in death May 29, 2005; parents William and Minnie (Janoske) Peche; son - David Hraby in 1977; siblings, Edward, Clifford and Victor Peche; sister – Bernadine Williams.
