Lila Schwarze, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Schwarze, R. 3, Greenwood (Clark
Co., Wis.), is Greenwood Community High School's recipient of the D.A. R. Good
Citizen Award this year. This award is based on the qualities of dependability,
service, leadership and patriotism, and selection is made by senior students and
the high school faculty. Senior girl winners from throughout the state also
compete for state good citizen awards in an essay contest.
Lila Schwarze will graduate from high school in May with honors. She has not
only been a good student but has also been active in a number of school
activities. She is a member of the senior band, the Pepe Band, the school's
dance band and chorus. She is on the editorial staff of the school annual and
the staff of the school paper. Lila has been active in the Library Club, Drama
Club, Science Club and forensics. She wasn't absent or tardy the past two school
years.
The D.A.R. Award consists of an engraved certificate, which is presented to the
winner at graduation.
