Camp Pendleton, California (FHTNC) – Marine Pvt. John S. Buker, son of Mrs. Mary
A. Buker of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, completed four weeks of individual
combat Training, February 23, 1962, with the Second Infantry Training Regiment
at Camp Pendleton, California.
The training, required of each Marine completing recruit training, includes
instruction in combat formations, fire and maneuver tactics, use of supporting
weapons, and techniques of individual protection and safe movement during night
and day maneuvers.
