Geiger, Sp. 5 John P. (Service Notes - 1974)

Sp.5 John P. Geiger, 24, son of Mr and Mrs. Norbert B. Geiger of Rt. 1 Dorchester, was graduated with highest honors from the III Corps noncommissioned officers academy at Ft. Hood, Tex.

Spec. Geiger received four weeks of training which included instruction in drill and ceremonies, physical training, leadership, map reading, and weapons familiarization.

He is an air traffic controller in Headquarters troop, 1st Squadron of the 1st Cavalry Division’s 9th Cavalry.

His wife, Elfriede, is with him at Fort Hood.
