Mrs. Chas. Schultz was at Marshfield on Friday.

W.J. Rush was at Marshfield Monday on business.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Harneck of Loyal were here on Friday.

Mrs. Emma Dodge was at Alma Center on Saturday.

Abel Harding transacted business at Marshfield on Monday.

Judge and Mrs. Schoengarth were at Curtiss on Saturday.

E.G. Annell was here from Dundee on business last week.

Miss Eulah Irvine went to Loyal Friday to spend a few days.

Chas. Blochi went to Eau Claire Saturday to see Herman Carl.

E.W. Crosby was at Madison on business the first of the week.

Assemblyman Harry Hewett was up from Madison over Sunday.

Mrs. Converse of Granton is visiting her sister, Mrs. Carrie Holmes.

A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Irish Monday morning.

Ole Anderson has purchased the C.S. Stockwell home on Couter Street.

Mrs. R.C. Lorentzen went to Withee Saturday to spend a short time.

Sheriff Weaver and Oluf Olson were at Curtiss on business Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Hanson went to Blair on Saturday to spend a few days.

Jerome Shaw went to Eau Claire Saturday to spend a few days with his sister.

Mrs. Chas. Poole and Miss Ethel Stockwell were at Marshfield Saturday.

Miss Gusta Bauer spent Saturday with her sister at the hospital at Marshfield.

H.E. Korman and John Aichiner visited Herman Carl at Eau Claire on Thursday.

Miss Ethel Stockwell was given a shower on Monday evening by the Eastern Stars.

Geo. Ure went to Madison Tuesday to attend the state fire insurance convention.

Al. Brazier, Fred Dregen and Leo Klaus of Beaver transacted business here on Friday.

John Wolff and Jesse Lowe spent Saturday with Thomas Lowe at the Marshfield Hospital.

Miss Agnes Paulson is helping out with the work of winding up the affairs of the draft board.

Otis Slocomb, Dave Ross and W.G. Royer went to Madison Monday to attend the road convention.

Mrs. Wm. Bardell and Mrs. Clarence Bardell visited Mrs. Begley at the Eau Claire hospital on Thursday.

Miss Emma Keller left last week for Minneapolis, where she has a position in a wholesale millinery house.

Mrs. J.W. Hommell and Mrs. J.W. Goodhue attended the state convention of Women’s Clubs at Eau Claire last week.

Thomas Lowe underwent a successful operation at the Marshfield Hospital last week and is getting along very nicely.

Miss Rhea Timm and Miss Glendola Bryant, who teach at Schofield, visited with Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Crosby over Sunday.

Mrs. Ernest Horn left Saturday for her home at Helenville after a two months’ visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Boyer.

Mr. and Mrs. Dick Rosenberg left for Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the hope that the change of climate will be beneficial to Mr. Rosenberg’s health.

Miss Laura Marth of Milwaukee arrived here Sunday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marth. Mrs. Marth has been sick for a few weeks, but is getting along nicely now.

Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Marsh and Mrs. Jos. Marsh reached their destination at San Diego, Cal., after a delightful trip. They were met at Los Angeles by their brother, Judge S.M. Marsh, who drove them to San Diego in his car, a trip of 175 miles along the seashore.

Mrs. Gene Crandall was here from Granton Monday.

Fred Heibel and Percy Grass of Mondovi transacted business here last week.

W.H. Lautenbach was here from Marshfield on business Monday and circulating among old friends.

Jos. Babler of Zachow, owner of the Day Cheese Factory, was here this week on business.

Eric and T.L. Schoenherr went to Wabassa, Minn., on Monday, being called by the death of a sister.

Mrs. H.H. Eberhardt and little daughter returned Monday from a two weeks’ visit at New Holstein and Two Rivers.

Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Smith and Mrs. L.H. Howard went to Madison on Monday, the two ladies to attend a conference of women’s section of state councils of defense.

Allie F. Burge of Muskegon, Mich., has been at Eau Claire the past three weeks with her son, Free, who underwent a critical operation at the Sacred Hearty Hospital in that city.

Clayton Vine brought his wife home Monday from the hospital at Whitehall.

Mrs. Chas. Wasserburger went to Arcadia Friday owing to the very serious illness of her mother. Mr. Wasserburger went to Arcadia on Monday.
