O.E. Counsell was at Owen Tuesday on business.

Aug. Gluch was at Marshfield yesterday on business.

Sol Barrett went to Duluth Tuesday on a business trip.

A.L. Devos left Tuesday on a business trip to Indiana.

Gilbert Johnson was at Grand Rapids Tuesday on business.

Mrs. Mary Hughes is home from a few days’ visit at Eau Claire.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Goldamer on January 31st.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brooks spent Sunday with friends at Marshfield.

Mrs. Luther came from Greenwood Tuesday to spend a few days here.

Henry Knutson was here from Rhinelander last week on business.

Wm. Reimer of Hillsboro, N.D., is here for a visit at the home of H.E. Bartell.

Rob. Frantz and Anthony Wenzel transacted business at August on Tuesday.

Gus. Olson is home from Milwaukee where he has been working for some time.

R.J. MacBride is home from St. Louis, where he has been spending the winter with his son.

Wm. Schlinkert has sold his 40-acre farm to Fred Schlinkert, the deal being closed on Tuesday.

Mrs. John Schmoll and Willard James Neville went to Stevens Point yesterday to see their sister.

Luther Bros., manager of the Woodside Cheese Factory in Beaver, were here on business Monday.

Rev. Stucki came from Black River Falls Tuesday to spend a few days with Rev. and Mrs. Grether.

Dr. Leason is back at work in his dental office after being confined to his home with rheumatism for some time.

Carl Haberland is home from Minneapolis and is again at his place of business and invites all his old friends and patrons to call and see him.

Wm. Schultz, who lived in town Weston for many, many years, died at Miles City, Mont., where he moved several years ago. His death was due to the flu.

George Siegman, employed by the Marshfield Brewery as beer peddler, was instantly killed Tuesday morning at 6:30 by the Minneapolis midnight Soo line passenger.

Mr. and Mrs. Ferd. Haas, Mrs. Joe Haas and Geo. Haas of Prairie du Sac, John and Alfred Haas of Loyal, Mrs. Fred Young and Mrs. Lamboli of Madison surprised Mrs. Anna Neis by paying her a visit last Friday.
