Tioga (13 Feb 1919)
Private D. Phillips left here Saturday for C.J. Bigelow’s at Chili, where he was
invited for a week’s vacation.
Wales Bedell was a Butlerville caller Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Mack Butler passed away at her home Friday morning after being sick with
the flu, leaving her husband and five little children to mourn her loss. The
grief-stricken family has the sympathy of all.
Darwin Martin’s furniture was shipped to New Butler Saturday. Mrs. Martin
expects to join her husband soon.
Nan Bloomquist and her brother, Charlie, and his wife of Rockford, Ill., came
Sunday to attend the funeral of her sister, Mrs. Mack Butler.
Lulu and George Bedell called at the W.E. Church home Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. W.A. Bedell is gaining and is expected home from Eau Claire Hospital this
week. Her many friends will be glad to see her again.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Larson look for their son, Willie, home from the Navy for a
few days’ furlough this month.
Andrew Wightman lost a valuable horse last Saturday. Too much night driving,
Andrew. Never mind, the walking is good.
Willie and George Manthey and our cheese maker took in the dance at Christie
Thursday.
Jack Ripplinger autoed to Neillsville Sunday.
Wales Bedell called on Bernice Cole Sunday.
