Wm. Hagen went to Beloit Tuesday to work.
J.W. Hommel went to Milwaukee Tuesday on business.
C.B. Culbertson of Stanley was here on business Tuesday.
Mrs. Ernest Hobbs spent a few days in Milwaukee last week.
Mrs. Jos. Bishop and Leo Meyers spent Sunday with relatives at Loyal.
Wm. Meihak and Mrs. Richard Beyer wert to Marshfield Tuesday.
Miss Lena Wiertz came home from Minneapolis Tuesday for a short visit.
Joe Benjamin went to Tomahawk Tuesday on business.
Fire did $4000 damage in the office of the Banner at Black River Falls on Monday
night.
Mrs. P.A. Cross returned home Tuesday from Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent the
winter.
Miss Helen Zimmer and Miss Clara Heyder spent Sunday with Mrs. George Zimmer, at
the hospital at Eau Claire.
Eugene Carskadden, the 4-month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Carskadden, died on
Friday and was buried on Tuesday.
Free Burge returned home from the hospital at Eau Claire on Tuesday. He was
accompanied by his mother, who has been with him since his operation.
Neillsville will not be without ice this summer, Jim Paulus having completed his
harvest of very fine quality of frozen water.
Clinton Walker and Herman Bertholdt of Tioga were here on Monday. Clint is
spending a few days at the James Hughes home on the Ridge.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry F. Evelyn and little daughter of Toledo, Ohio, are here on an
extended visit with relatives. Mrs. Evelyn was formerly Miss Gertrude Miller.
The Ladies’ Aid Society of the Methodist Church will meet in the church parlors
Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 26, 1919. Serving committee is Mesdames Devos,
Neverman, Griffith and Munson.
Pete Cagle wishes the Times to publicly express his appreciation of the efforts
of the Oatman Co. in behalf of returning soldiers in giving them their old jobs
back when they come home from war.
Mildred, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Melamphy, died on Sunday, aged
1 year and 6 months. She was a bright little baby and her parents have the
sympathy of all in their bereavement. The funeral was held yesterday.
Mrs. Wm. Summerside of Pierre, S.D., came from Portage last week where she has
spent the winter with her sister. She spent a few days here with her brother,
A.M. Harriman, and wife and went to Glenwood City yesterday to spend a few days
before returning home.
