West Shortville (27 Feb 1919)

Mrs. Geo. Strubing and cousin, Clyde McPherson, went to Melrose to spend a few days with their aunt and cousin.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ottow spent Sunday with Aug. Nichols.

George Strubing has been hauling hay for Mr. Wenzel.

Mrs. McCarl returned home this week after a nice stay with Dr. Matheson and family.

Miss Slocomb spent Saturday and Sunday at home.

Ed. Hagie had dinner with George Strubing and son, Leo, Sunday.

Floyd Hagie went to Dells Dam Saturday afternoon.

Bill Ottow traded a Holstein heifer to Ed. Holverson.

Bill Winters of Tripoli, Wis., is spending a few days with his brother, T.M. Winters, and with his parents.

R. Frantz autoed out to his farm Sunday.

There was a farewell party at Hugo Warren’s Sunday night. All report a good time.

Amos Kegley was seen speeding on our roads Sunday.

Amos Kegley and Ralph Short purchased silos one day last week.

Horace Rodman is hauling wood for Frank Lepke of Neillsville.

Wm. Ottow of Neillsville and family and Geo. Strubing and son, spent Sunday evening with E. Junchen’s.

Eugene Hagie and family spent Sunday evening with Mrs. McCarl and son, John.
