Baird, Donna Mae (7 APR 1962)
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Baird, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Donna Mae
Baird of Milwaukee, became the bride of Norman LaVerne Larson of Madison
Saturday, April 7, 1962. The groom is the son of Harry Larson of Westby. Mr.
Baird presented his daughter in marriage.
The Rev. Gene Carlson officiated at the marriage, which took place at 3 p.m. in
the Grace Methodist Church at Greenwood. Organist was Charles Ivey and Mrs.
Donald Ellingston, soloist, sang "Walk Hand in Hand" and "The Wedding Prayer."
The church altar was decorated with white chrysanthemums.
Chose by the bride for her wedding was a modified sheath dress ow white silk
organza with Shiffli embroidered flowers and a chapel train. Her fingertip veil
of silk illusion was attached to a prearl and crystal crown, and she carried a
crescent shaped bouquet of white Japette orchids and hyacinths.
Attendants in the bridal party were Mrs. Kenneth Steiger of Greenwood, matron of
honor, and bridesmaids, Mrs. Richard Engle, Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. James
Ellingson, Milwaukee.
Their mint green sheath dresses were peau de soie and silk organza with blush
veils attached to matching crown headpieces. They carried colonial arrangements
of violets and pink sweetheart roses.
Little Dana Engle, as flower girl, wore a white silk organza dress with mint
green cummerbund and sash and carried a colonial bouquet in colors of the bridal
aides' bouquets.
The groom's attendants were Erling Larson of Kendall, as best man, and Jerry
Baird, Stevens Point, and Robert Baird, Eau Claire, groomsmen.
Richard Engle, Minneapolis, Minn., Kenneth Steiger, Greenwood, and James
Ellingson, Milwaukee, ushered the guests.
Following the church services a reception was held in the church parlors.
The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School and the Marvel Beauty School at
Milwaukee. She has been employed in Milwaukee at Schuster's Beauty Salon.
The groom, a graduate of Westby High School, is a travel agent for the Mueller
Travel Agency, Madison. After a wedding trip to Illinois, the young couple will
make their home in Madison at 5206 Camden Road
