Madison, Wisconsin – James R. Berrett, Spencer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Verland
Berrett, is among the 485 students at the University of Wisconsin who will be
honored for their outstanding University work at the Annual All-University
Honors Convocation to be held in the Wisconsin Union Theatre at 4 p.m. on
Sunday, June 3, 1962.
The convocation, at which 485 students will be publicly saluted for their
scholastic prowess, will be one of the major events on the 109th annual
Commencement Reunion Weekend calendar of the State University June 1-4. US. Vice
President Fred H. Harrington will welcome the honor students and their parents
and preside at the convocation. Dr. Mark Schorer, chairman of the English
Department, at the University of California - Berkeley, will give the
convocation address, and Nancy Natwick, senior in the School of Education from
Wisconsin Rapids, will speak for the honored students.
