Holland, Michigan – Leneil S. Meyers, Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, a
teacher in Greenwood Community Schools, has beena warded a National Science
Foundation grant to participate in the Summer Institute for high school teachers
of science and mathematics, to be held at Hope College June 25 to August 3,
1962.
Meyers will be one of 44 teachers from across the nation that will study courses
in chemistry, physics, analysis and algebra during the six week session.
Summer institutes sponsored by the National Science Foundation offer teachers
study opportunities in specially designed courses to 1. Renew their knowledge of
fundamentals, 2. Acquaint themselves with recent developments and advancements
in science, mathematics and engineering, and 3. Familiarize them with new
approaches in the presentation of subject matter.
