Ronald Hendrickson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Art Hendrickson, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), has been awarded the State Farmer Degree at the 33rd annual convention of the Wisconsin Association of Future Farmers of America held at the Baptist Assembly at Green Lake, June 11-12, 1962. Winning the award represents the highest award that can be achieved in the FFA on a state level, and is awarded annually to about 2 percent of the state membership. Selection is based on work in Vocational Agriculture, participation inn FFA activities and high school activities.

Ronald has been a member of the local FFA for four years and this past year served as its Secretary. He has represented the local Chapter in county and state FFA contests, and this past year won the local FFA Speaking Contest. His farming program consists of dairy and swine projects. At the recent awards night program held at the high school, he was awarded the D.H.I.A. Testing Award for outstanding dairy herd testing and record keeping for his four years of vocational agriculture. He has been a member of the high school football and baseball teams for four years, and has been active in Forensics and Class Plays.

This fall he will enroll at River Falls State College at River Falls, where he will major in Agricultural Education.

Also attending the State Convention were Duane Olson and Irving Timmler. They were accompanied by their Advisor, Victor Wagner.
