Yaron, Steven “Steve” “Toge” M. (28 FEB 1956 - 24 MAY 2016)
Steven “Steve” “Toge” M. Yaron, age 60, of 564 Pine Street, Medford, passed away
on Tuesday, May 24 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, where he had been a patient for
the past 6 weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church, Medford, with Rev. Nancy Amacher officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith
Meyer, Mitch Surman, Rick Moser, Jason Yaron, Jeremy Yaron, Jim Brushaber.
Interment will be at 1:30 PM Friday, May 27 at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Lublin
where there will be graveside military rites performed by the Lublin American
Legion Post #547.
Visitation will be at 4-7 PM Thursday, May 26 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
Medford and also from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Friday, May
27.
Steve was born on February 28, 1956 at Medford, to Tony Thomas and Dolores
Harriet (Surman) Yaron.
He received his education at St. Louis Parochial School, Dorchester and was a
1974 graduate of Colby High School.
On October 28, 1990, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, he married Denise L.
Jablonicky and she survives.
US Army Veteran having served from 1974-1977. After the military, he moved to
Dorchester and ran the family gas station, Yaron Shell for a period of time.
After their marriage, they moved to Medford and he worked at Tombstone Pizza for
28 years until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing,
mechanic work, fishing trips to Canada and Lake Erie, spending time at the
family cabin in Taylor County.
He is survived by his wife Denise L. Yaron of Medford; children Kelsey Yaron of
Burlington, WI, Justin Yaron, a student at UW River Falls, and Brent Yaron, a
student at UW Stout, Menomonie, WI; in laws Donald and Joanne Jablonicky of
Colby; siblings Tony (Rachel) Yaron of Medford, Jim (Diana) Yaron of Ogema, Carl
(Diane) Yaron of Wausau, brothers-in-law: Don (Julie) Jablonicky of Flower
Mound, Texas, Mark (Vickie) Jablonic of Pewaukee, WI, and Lance Jablonicky of
Colby.
Tony is predeceased by his parents Tony Thomas Dolores Harriet (Surman) Yaron
and his brother Paul Yaron in 1983.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions are to be given
to the family for a future designation.
