Pocock, Geneva M. (Stines) (24 JAN 1953 - 23 MAY 2016)

Geneva M. Pocock, age 63, of Correctionville, IA, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her residence.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Assembly of God of Correctionville with Pastor Jon Millen officiating. There will be no burial. A visitation was held one hour prior to services at the church.

Geneve Mae (Stines) Pocock was born January 24, 1953 in Mapleton, Iowa to Lloyd and Arlene (Birtwell) Stines. She grew up in Correctionville and attended school there.

After high school, Geneva was married and lived in the area until she divorced and moved to Arizona with her two oldest children. She was married again and her youngest daughter was born. After moving to Rib Lake in 1995, she divorced her second husband. She then met the love of her life, Richard Pocock. They were married June 30, 2001 in Rib Lake.

Geneva loved to travel and see new places. She enjoyed camping, fishing and summer barbeques. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed making meals and entertaining guests.

She would invite anyone she knew to eat, and would often take meals to the elderly shut-ins or neighbors.

Geneva worked many different jobs in her lifetime but enjoyed serving people as a waitress the most. She was in food service until ill heath forced her retirement in 2010. She moved back to Correctionville in 2014.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Pocock of Correctionville, IA; one son, Bill (Jennifer) Leggett of Rib Lake; two daughters, Lori (Jeff) Warner of Rib Lake and Tiffany Alvarado of Medford; two step-daughters, Danielle Pocock of Montrose, CO and Miranda (Keith) Anderson of Kenosha; 12 grandchildren, Travis Warner, Angelisa Olson, Micheal, Brooke, Shane, Wade, Hunter and Parker Leggett, Kaylee and Riley Walker, Bryson Pocock and Easton Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Masyn Warner, Thomas, William and Ryan Olson; one sister, Vicki Steffens (Duane Twite) of Correctionville, IA; two brothers, Rick (Kathy) Stines of Cleghorn, IA and Lloyd Stines Jr. (Bev) of Quimby, IA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many special friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; grandson, Jonathan; sister, Toni; nephew, Josh; and parents-in-law, Wilma and Robert Pocock.
