Schendel, Cora Ann (30 JUN 1962)
Pastor David Zielske officiated at the marriage of Miss Cora Ann Schendel,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Schendel, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and
Robert H. Schneider Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Schneider Sr., Greenwood,
at Trinity Lutheran Church, Saturday, June 20, 1962, at 8:00 p.m.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her gown was of embroidered white
silk organza with the back panel of white satin forming the train. She wore a
pearl studded crown with a short veil and carried a white Bible, a gift from her
sister, Judy, on which was a white orchid with baby orchids on white streamers.
Miss Judy Schendel was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a street length
dress of maize embroidered silk organza with matching pill box hat with a short
veil and carried a basket of flowers.
Allen Schneider was his brother's best man. The groom and best man wore dark
suits.
Mrs. Daniel Zielske provided the organ music.
Ushers were David Schneider, the groom's brother, and Jon Schendel, the bride's
brother.
The church was decorated with flowers and candles. The vases of flowers in the
church were furnished by Mrs. Ella Schwarze. All other floral arrangements were
furnished by Mrs. Ferne Beyer.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents
for 160 guests. Mrs. James Metzke served the wedding cake. Mrs. Roger Liebzeit
and Miss Rebecca Peroshek were in charge of the gifts.
The bride graduated from Greenwood High School in 1958 and attended Dunham
Business College in Phoenix, Arizona. The groom graduated from Greenwood High
School in 1955 and attended the Humboldt Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. He
spent four years with the U.S. Navy. The couple left on a trip through the
south.

Philosophy. Julie is a professional pianist and vocalist, and has performed at
the Abbey Resort on Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, for the past seven years. She is
also a coordinator and entertainer for her finance’s production company in
Milwaukee and is also a professional entertainer. They will be married during an
evening ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church, in Milwaukee, on June 20,
1986.

Thoma, Virginia (Independent Study Course - 1986)
Virginia Thoma of Rt. 3 Neillsville has recently completed an Independent Study
course in Appreciation and History of Music through University of
Wisconsin-Extension. Thoma is one of over 10,000 students who participate in the
Extension correspondence program every year.
Approximately 400 correspondence courses are available through Independent
Study, with more than 200 offered for college credit. Over 100 are continuing
education courses and 80 are high school courses. Vocational correspondence
courses are also offered jointly by UW-Extension and the Wisconsin Vocational,
Technical and Adult Education System.
