Northern States Power Company has announced the retirement of Lee A. Jolivette,
electric distribution heavy crew foreman of NSP's Owen district, effective July
31, 1962. He retires following more than 39 years of utility service.
Jolivette began his utility career in 1923 with the former Midland Public
Service Company, which later became part of NSP. His initial assignment was that
of maintenance man at Abbotsford. In 1925 he was made a construction department
lineman and assumed his present position in 1930.
Jolivette is a veteran of World War I and a member and past Master of the
Greenwood Lodge 249 F. & AM. He and his wife, Florence, reside in Greenwood.
They have three children: Mrs. Donald Shawn, Loyal; Reverend Norbert Jolivette,
pastor of the Wallingford, Iowa Lutheran Church; and Burton Jolivette, ground
man with NSP's Neillsville line crew.
