Great Lakes, Ill. (FHTNC) – Ralph L. Kebl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl of 109 South Main St., Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), completed recruit training, August 25, 1962, at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Ill.

During the nine-week indoctrination period, recruits receive training in physical fitness, basic military law, military drill, customs and etiquette of the Naval service, swimming and survival, first aid and a basic knowledge of shipboard routine.

During the training, recruits receive tests and interviews which help determine future training and assignments.
