Zillmer, Karen Jean (3 NOV 1962)
An apartment at 109 N. Maple Ave., Marshfield, will be the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Sylvester Lovstad, who were married during a 4 o'clock candlelight
wedding ceremony performed Saturday afternoon, Nov 3rd, 1962.
Miss Karen Jean Zillmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Zillmer, was given in
marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carsten Lovstad of Chili
during a nuptial ceremony held in Trinity Lutheran Church, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), the Rev. Daniel Zielske officiating.
Miss Kay Walk played for the service and Mrs. Arvid Myhrwold sang "The Lord's
Prayer" and "O Perfect Love." Yellow, gold and white chrysanthemums were placed
on the altar for the occasion.
Foer her wedding, the bride wore a floor-length bridal gown of nylon organza and
soutache lace. A scalloped Sabrina neckline embellished with sequins and seed
pearls highlighted the fitted lace bodice and the bells-shaped skirt was
fashioned with un-pressed pleats, highlighted with motifs of soutache lace.
Her veil of fingertip length billowed from a floral headpiece. The bridal
bouquet included yellow sweetheart roses and white feathered chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Ronald Selk, Chili, the matron of honor, and Mrs. Keith Stump, Greenwood,
and Miss Christine Lovstad, Chili, the bridesmaids, wore royal blue sheaths with
overskirts and "Little bow" headpieces. Each had an arrangement of yellow and
gold feathered chrysanthemums.
DuWayne Zillmer, Milwaukee, was the best man; Robert Zillmer, Kansas City, Mo.,
and Ronald Selk, Chili, were groomsmen; and Karl Lovstad and Bill Cliver
performed the ushering duties.
The wedding supper as served at the Legion Hall and the wedding dance was held
at the Eagles Hall, Marshfield. After the wedding, the newlyweds left for a
Canadian honeymoon.
The bride, who graduated from Greenwood High School in 1961, has been employed
at the Downtowner at Marshfield. Her husband, who attended Marshfield Senior
High School, is a truck driver for Klein Leasing, Marshfield.
