Volk, Daniel “Dan” (30 April 1959 - 5 June 2016)

Daniel “Dan” J. Volk, age 57, of Owen passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016.

Friends and family are welcome for a visitation from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m., with a time of remembrance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen.

Dan was born on April 30, 1959, the son of John “Roy” and Normadine (Nicholas) Volk in Waverly, Iowa.

Dan was a very talented wood worker. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and canning.

Dan is survived by his children: Matthew James and his two sons: hank and Barrett, of Medford, and AmySue and her two daughters: Abigail and Elaina, of Green Bay; two brothers: John Volk, and Tom (Sherry) Volk; and four sisters: Beth (George) Hamm, Jane (Victor) Schiszik, Linda (special friend Randy Kaiser) Schiszik, and Julie (Junior) Stumpner. Many nieces, nephews, and friends further survive him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John “Roy” and Normadine.
