Nimbar, Ernest J. (26 MAY 1891 – 28 FEB 1963)
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Trinity Lutheran Church
for Ernest J. Nimbar, 71, who died unexpectedly of a heart attack at 11:15 p.m.
Thursday, February 28, 1963, at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), where he was attending
a card party. The Rev. Daniel Zielske officiated, and burial was made in
Riverside Cemetery at Withee.
Hill Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.
Mr. Nimbar was born May 26, 1891, near Mauston, in the township of Marian. He
resided in Mauston and later went to the Dakotas. In 1915 he came to Withee and
was married to Vernie Van Gorder on Dec. 31, 1921. He was a trucker for many
years and was custodian of the Withee public schools until he came to Greenwood
in 1955. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terrance Nimbar, St. Paul, a daughter, Mrs.
Laverne (Erma) Brown, Greenwood; five grandchildren; a brother, Roy Nimbar,
Wayzata, Minn., and three sisters, His twin sister, Mrs. Nellie Miller, Nekoosa;
Mrs. Jessie Bartlet, St. Paul, and Mrs. Lulu Dayton, Dayton, S.D.
Four sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
