Zurow, Max J. (25 JUL 1893 – 4 MAR 1968)
Max J. Zurow, 74, of Wausau, formerly of rural Colby, died March 4, 1968 after a
long illness.
Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church,
Wausau, with the Very Rev. john Krasowski officiating. Interment was made in
Restlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Zurow was born July 25, 1893 in Germany. He was married to Elsa Sawatzke in
Chicago. Mr. Zurow did electrical maintenance work.
For a number of years they lived on a farm east of Colby, until seven years ago.
Survivors, besides his wife, include three sons, Eugene Zurow, Lombard, Ill.,
John Zurow, Rolling Meadows, Ill., and William Maustein, Chicago, Ill.; two
daughters, Mrs. Gary Frahm, Wausau, and Miss Rosemarie Zurow, at home; two
brothers, Rudolph, Germany, and John Otto Zurow, Chicago, Ill., and seven
grandchildren.
