Holubetz, Ferdinand W. (19 SEP 1882 – 7 APR 1968)
Funeral services for Ferdinand W. Holubetz, 85, Unity, were held at Trinity
Lutheran Church at Unity Wednesday, April 10, 1968.
Mr. Holubetz died at the Memorial Hospital at Wausau Sunday.
The Rev. Robert Sutherland officiated at the 2 p.m. services. Burial was made in
the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Holubetz was born in Vienna, Austria, September 19, 1882. At the age of 21
he came to this county, and his marriage took place in 1903 to Wilhelmina
Schillinger.
He lived for many years in Marathon County, and established a reputation as a
professional church decorator and painter. In 1942 he retired from this trade
and moved to Unity, where he operated an antique shop. His wife died in 1947.
Surviving are four sons, William of Marshfield, Henry of Wausau, Hugo of
Portland, Ore., and Victor of Fort Wayne, Ind., and two daughters, Mrs. Edmund
(Hilda) Dwyer of Chicago and Olga, Unity. There are 16 grandchildren and 23
great-grandchildren.
A brother, Victor, living in Vienna, Austria, also survives.
