Kay Kavanaugh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Kavanaugh, Greenwood (Clark Co.,
Wis.), was one of 173 senior students graduated from Minnehaha Academy in
Commencement exercises Wednesday, June 5, 1963.
Kay was awarded the Spanish award for advanced Spanish students, and also was
one of three senior students graduated with Superior Honors for obtaining an "A"
average during her Senior year. She will matriculate at the University of
Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, next fall.
Visitors from Greenwood who attended the commencement exercises included,
besides her parents, Mrs. Palmer Vinger, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Thompson and Patti
Jo, Jim Kavanaugh, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Barr Jr., and Mrs. Louis Guests and
daughter Terri of Neillsville.
Guests from Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Anoka, Richfield, in addition to the
above, were entertained at an Open House in the Normandy Hotel, Minneapolis,
following the graduation.
