Powers, Jennifer Margaret (18 July 1985 - 8 June 2016)
Jennifer M. Powers, 30, of Eau Claire passed away June 8, 2016.
Jennifer Margaret Powers was born July 18, 1985, in Colorado Springs, CO, the
daugher of James and Gail (Johnson) Powers. Jenny grew up on a horse farm in
rural Augusta with parents Gail and Tim Hesselschwardt. With Jenny’s love for
animals, farm life suited her well. She graduated from Augusta High School in
2003 with valedictorian honors and was the recipient of the President’s Award
for Educational Excellence.
While in high school, she was active in sports, band, chorus, forensics,
volunteer work and 4-H, all while working after school at Walgreen’s Pharmacy in
Eau Claire. Jenny furthered her education by attending UW-Madison and UW-Eau
Claire and continued to work as a pharmacy technician. She transferred with
Walgreen’s to Las Vegas, NV, returning to Augusta after a couple of years.
Her education fulfilled her passion for photography and graphic design. The
young, artistic woman’s photographs stir emotion and always tell a story.
Jenny had a deep faith in God.
Jenny is survived by her father, James Powers; her mother, Gail (Johnson)
Daenicke (Scott); her step-father, Tim Hesselschwardt; and uncles and aunts,
Glenn and Cathy Johnson and Mountain and Kathy Miller.
Jenny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lyall and Margaret Johnson and
Richard and Helen Powers.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the
Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta, with services following at 11 a.m.
