Army Private Dennis D. Dux, 20, son of Mrs. Erwin Dux, Route 2, Loyal (Clark
Co., Wis.), at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, was his company's high scorer on the physical
proficiency test held at the end of his basic training cycle.
The rigid test, based on skills that require coordination and endurance, is
designed to evaluate a soldier's physical capabilities and to determine whether
he has the stamina needed in battle.
Pvt. Dux entered the Army in October 1970.
