Hribar, Sandy Ann (Engagement – 198A September 6 wedding is being planned for Sandy Ann Hribar and John Philip Susa. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lud Hribar, Rt. 1 Willard, and Mr. and Mrs. James Susa, Rt. 2 Loyal. The bride-to-be is a 1984 graduate of Greenwood High School and is studying marketing at District I Tech-Eau Claire. The groom-to-be is a 1982 graduate of the same high school and earned an associate degree from District I Tech-Eau Claire. He is employed by United Parcel Service, and she is employed by Rocky Rococo.

Luchterhand, Lori (Spelling Bee Winner - 1985)

Lori Luchterhand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Luchterhand and a Neillsville Schools elementary student, was named an alternate winning in the CESA No. 10 regional spelling bee held March 22 in Bloomer.

Lori was one of 38 students in the bee. Taking first place rankings were Eric Connerly, an eighth grader from Eau Claire; Amy Fischer, an eighth grader from Loyal; Mike Luzinski, a sixth grader from Thorp and Corrine Denzin, a seventh grader from Abbotsford.

Maffett, Mary M. (Engagement - 1985)

Chester Kime of La Porte, Indiana, and Mary M. Maffett of Humbird recently announced their engagement at a Harlingen, Texas, tourist club where they had met. The couple will be married in Maryville, Missouri, in April. Both are Texas residents each winter.

Stylen, Rena M. (Engagement - 1985)

Announcement has been made of the engagement of Rena M. Stylen to Ray Petkovsek. Rena is the daughter of Jim Stylen of Phoenix, Arizona and the late Rachel Stylen, who last made her home in Coon Valley. He is the son of Bill and Dorothy Petkovsek, Willard.

She is a graduate of Jefferson High School, Lafayette, Indiana, and is employed by G. Helleman Brewing Company of La Crosse. He is a graduate of UW-Eau Claire and is self employed as a financial consultant and real estate developer.

The wedding will be May 3, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, La Crosse.

Yu, In OK (9 March 1985)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville was the March 9 early afternoon site for the wedding of Yu In Ok and Bernard John Langreck, with the Rev. Joseph Henseler officiating. Parents of the bride are her mother Kang Hwa Cha of Songtan City, Korea, and the late Yu Ho Muk. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Anton Langreck, 504 West Seventh St., Neillsville.

Offering music at the service were Ron Resong, Rita Kuchenbecker and Iris Musil.

Serving as maid of honor was Carolyn Anason, the groom’s sister of Neillsville. Bestman was Larry Anason, the groom’s brother-in-law of Neillsville. Ushering from Neillsville were the groom’s brother Michael Langreck and the groom’s cousin Tim Langreck.

The bride chose a silk gown featuring Alencon lace and cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, red carnations and stephanotis. Her attendant wore a blue chiffon gown with silk underlay; she carried a bouquet of white roses, red carnations and mums. The groom and his attendant were attired in Navy blue suits.

Following the serviced a reception and dinner was held at the Neillsville Country Club. The couple announced wedding trip plans for Niagara Falls.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Langreck will make their home in Plattsburg, New York. The bride is a 1974 graduate of Catholic High School in Seoul, Korea, and was employed as a shop manager in Songtan City, Korea. The groom is a 1977 Neillsville High School graduate and is with the U.S. Air Force.
