Robert Hodd, owner of the Abby Theatre, is building a new drive-in theatre near
his home on Highway 13, between Abbotsford and Colby.
Plans are to finish the theatre this summer, subject to favorable weather
conditions. If it can’t be completed then, it will open next spring.
The New theatre, to e called the 13-29 Drive-In, will have an 80 by 36 foot
screen, which Mr. Hoff says will be the largest in the area. It will also have
space for 300 cars, with in-car speakers and lighted standards.
Mr. Hodd is now working on the building which will house the projection
equipment and the concession stand.
