Ziembo, LeRoy (19 AUG 1938 - 20 JUN 2016)
LeRoy Ziembo, age 77 of 858 Lakeshore Drive, Rib Lake, passed away on Monday,
June 20 at his residence in the Village of Rib Lake, under the loving care of
his family and Hope Hospice.
Private family only graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, June
25 at Garden of Memory Cemetery, Township of Hill along with military rites
performed by the Rib Lake American Legion, with Pastor David Clements
officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Hill Cemetery, Township of Hill,
Price County.
LeRoy was born on August 19, 1938, in the Township of Rib Lake, to Phillip and
Emma Ruth (Gerstberger) Ziembo.
He attended Rib Lake area elementary schools and was a graduate of Rib Lake High
School.
On July 10, 1964, at Elgin, IL, he married Karen Mae Nelson, and she survives.
LeRoy was a US Army Veteran having served from 1958 to 1960. After the service
he worked at Hurd Millwork in Medford for a period of time. He worked as a
welder for Franklin Sales & Service in Prentice for a period of time until
retirement. He enjoyed, NASCAR, woodworking, camping, hunting, fishing,
gardening, racing and racing cars.
He is survived by his wife Karen M. Ziembo, of Rib Lake; children Debbie (Mike)
Quednow of Ogema and Julie (Don) Yankura of Cleveland, OH; two grandchildren
Jeffrey and Gina Quednow; great granddaughter Danika Quednow; a brother Larry
Ziembo of Rib Lake.
He is predeceased by his parents, Phillip and Emma Ruth (Gerstberger) Ziembo.
Any memorial contributions may be given to the family for a future designation.
