Pakiz, Vladimir (22 JUN 1890 – 9 AUG 1963)

Vladimir Pakiz, 73, died Friday morning, August 9, 1963 at his home in the town of Eaton (Clark Co., Wis.).

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hill Funeral Home. The Rev. David Kellin, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, officiated, and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Vladimir Pakiz was born June 22, 1890 in Yugoslavia. He came to the United States in 1907 and lived in New York City for a few months, and then moved to Chicago, Ill., where he lived until 1915, when he came to Willard,. On September 7, 1918, he was married to Olga Tiran at Neillsville. The couple lived on a farm one-half mile west of Willard until May of this year, when they moved into a mobile home on the farm of their son, Frank.

Mr. Pakiz is survived by his wife. A daughter, Mrs. George (Marie) Kuznacic, Sheboygan; two sons, Gilbert, Baltimore, Md.; and Frank of Greenwood; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Patrato, and Mrs. Angelia Tereck, North Bergen, N.J.; Miss Ernestine Pakiz, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Miss Mara Pakiz, Yugoslavia; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
