Ortlieb, Donald J. (22 DEC 1929 - 23 JUN 2016)

Donald J. Ortlieb, age 86, of Dorchester, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Continental Manor in Abbotsford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 27, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Interment will follow at Dorchester Memorial South Cemetery.

Friends and family are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester is entrusted with the arrangements.

Donald was born December 22, 1929, the son of Rudolph and Theresa (Hastreiter) Ortlieb in Dorchester. He graduated from Dorchester High School.

Donald served in the Army National Guard, then enlisted in the U. S. Army and served for three years and returned to the National Guard serving for a total of 31 years. He worked for All Metal Stamping in Abbotsford for 30 plus years, retiring at age 70.

Donald is survived by five siblings: Jerome (Margaret) of Ohio; James (Nancy) of Dorchester, Joann Heintz of Milwaukee, John (Judy) of Michigan and Shirley (Dennis) Lieber of Milwaukee.

He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Kathleen Johnson and Barbara Jean Ortlieb and a brother, Eugene Ortlieb.
