Zuege, James E. (1 AUG 1933 – 27 JUN 2016)
James Eldon Zuege, 82 of Spencer, WI., passed away peacefully at 8:30 a.m.,
Monday, June 27, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Three Oaks, Marshfield, WI. due
to complications from kidney disease and several other chronic health
conditions.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Life
Tributes Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor David DePaoli officiating. A time
of visitation will be held for family and friends on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until
the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in West Spencer
Cemetery, Township of Sherman with full military honors conducted by American
Legion Post 175 of Loyal.
James was born August 1, 1933, in the town of Beaver, WI. to Frank M. and Elsie
(nee' Johnson) Zuege. He grew up on their family farm in Loyal, WI. He graduated
from Loyal High School on May 21, 1952. James served active duty as an SP4 radio
operator in the United States Army in South Korea, from November 7, 1956 to
November 6, 1958. He married Soh Boon Park in 1958, and after his military
service, returned to Loyal where he went to work on the family farm and also at
Berg Equipment Corporation. In 1962 he built a home in Spencer, becoming a
lifetime resident. James was employed at Land O' Lakes, retiring in 1997.
Divorced, he married Terri Kohl in 1978.
His favorite pastimes included fishing, tinkering with projects around the
house, fixing nearly anything mechanical and being handy with hammer and nails.
He was a very quiet, soft-spoken man, with a kind heart and a soft spot for
animals, in particular Pixie Lee, Bear and Didi.
Survivors include his wife Terri of Spencer; sister-in-law Kim (Jerry) Williams
of Marshfield; three daughters: Unsie (Mark) Webster of Tonka Bay, MN, Irene
Pueschner (Wayne O'Brien) of Marshfield and Caroline (Randy) Oestreich of
Marshfield; two sons: Tom Kohl (Heather Tews) of Spencer and Ryan Zuege (Annie
Steinmetz) of Stratford; two grandsons: Colin Pueschner and Ross Pueschner and
granddaughter Haley Oestreich.
Preceding him in death were his parents Frank and Elsie Zuege and his brother
Eugene Zuege.
