Stevens Point – Frank Joseph Parkel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Parkel, R. 1, Willard (Clark Co., Wis.), has been chosen to sing baritone in the Wisconsin State College Men's Glee Club at Stevens Point.

The glee club, now in its 29th year, is directed by Norman E. Knutson.

Often called the "Ambassadors of Good Will," the college men have toured the state and have appeared at various points in the United States. Last year, they went to Miami Beach, Fla., and the year before that to Colorado Springs and Denver, Colorado.

When the Club celebrated its 25th anniversary, it had compiled these statistics: 712 men had been members; the group had traveled 137,580 miles on concert trips; it had given more than 325 concerts out of town and 110 in Stevens Point.

Some 144,350 people in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, New York, Alabama and Florida had been entertained by the "Ambassadors."
