Scheuring, John Paul (6 SEP 1883 – 24 OCT 1963)
John Paul Scheuring, 80, Route 1, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), died of
complications Thursday, October 24, 1963, in Memorial Hospital in Neillsville,
where he had been a patient since April.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 28, at Grace Methodist Church of
Greenwood. The Rev. David Kellin officiated. Mrs. Daniel Olson was the organist
and Mrs. Joan Voss the vocalist.
Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Frank Baughman, Arnold Thomas, Frank Pakiz, Arthur Syth, Hugh
Christie, and Viv Carteron.
John P. Scheuring was born September 6, 1883 at West De Pere, where his marriage
to Bessie Morrison took place March 28, 1912. After their marriage the couple
came to Clark County, where they settled on a farm 4 1/2 miles southwest of
Greenwood. For many years Mr. Scheuring served as Clerk of the Town of Eaton.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Willard, Route 1, Greenwood and Robert,
Tomah; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Jean) Stieglitz, Santa Barbara, Calif.; a
sister, Mrs. Ray (Marie) Zimdars, De Pere, and 4 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
