Bauer, Rena (18 MAY 1879 – 18 JUN 1968)
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 22, at the United Church of Christ,
for Rena Bauer, 89, a 40 years resident of Colby.
Miss Bauer died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Tuesday, June 18, 1968.
The Rev. Kenneth Dix officiated at the 11 a.m. services, and burial was made in
the Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. The Lulloff Funeral Home of Colby was in charge
of arrangements.
Miss Rena Bauer was born in Weyauwega May 18, 1879, and she received her
education in the Weyauwega public school system.
Before coming to Colby, Miss Bauer operated a music store at Stanley, and she
was an organist for many years at various churches.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Colby and she belonged to the
garden club.
Miss Bauer is survived by one sister, Mrs. Emma Zillmer.
Preceding her in death were four sisters and two brothers.
