Shore, James Leslie “Jim” (25 MAR 1954 - 6 JUL 2016)

James Leslie “Jim” Shore, age 62, of W 8093 Highway 64, Medford, passed away at Asprius Medford Hospital, on July 6, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday July 9, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford, with Pastor Joshua Krieger officiating.

Interment will be at Medford Evergreen Cemetery II.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford.

Jim was born on March 25, 1954 in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, to Raymond and Ruth (Collette) Shore.

He graduated from Tomahawk High School, and then went on to Waukesha Technical School for Police Science.

Jim married Laura Lindert on December 30, 1972 in Cambria, Wisconsin.

He served as the Chief of Police in Rib Lake from 1981 to 1991. He then went on to work for American Asphalt based out of Mosinee, and retired officially in 2011. Jim thoroughly loved Nascar and was an avid sports fan, especially watching the Green Bay Packers. He coached many little league baseball teams in Cambria and Rib Lake. Jim also had a passion for the outdoors, and took pleasure in hunting and fishing. He was a Hunters Safety Education Course Instructor for the State of Wisconsin for 30 years. Jim will be remembered for his love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Jim was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Medford.

Jim is survived by his wife Laura Shore of Medford; children Chris (Alise) Shore of Owen, Leslie (John) Konrad of Westboro; grandchildren Trevor and Trista Shore, Johnathan and Anna Konrad; siblings William Shore, Rodger (Brenda) Shore, Cindy (Harry) Short, Diana (Robert) Shore, all of Tomahawk.

He is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Ruth (Collette) Shore; and siblings Richard Shore, and Sharen Snyder.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to Aspirus Medford Kidney Care, or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
