Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (AHTNC) – Army 1st Lieutenant Gary H. Brux, 24, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Harlan W. Brux, Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis., and other members
of the 25th Infantry Division are participating in Exercise High Top I, and
Army, Navy, Air Force field training maneuver, on the Island of Hawaii.
The exercise, scheduled to end February 8, 1964, began when the soldier were
transported by air and sea from the Island of Oahu to the Island of Hawaii,
where they will engage in live fire simulated combat maneuvers.
Lieutenant Brux, regularly assigned as executive officer of Company A, 1st
Battalion of the division's Infantry at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, entered the
Army in June 1960. He arrived for duty at Schofield Barracks in March 1961.
A 1956 graduate of Greenwood High School, the lieutenant attended the University
of Wisconsin and St. Norbert College. He is a member of Alpha Delta Gamma
fraternity.
