Trimberger, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Golden - June1974)
Nearly 300 relatives, neighbors and friends congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Trimberger at their golden wedding anniversary observance the afternoon of
Sunday, June 16, at their church, Zion Lutheran in Granton, and in the evening
at their home in Neillsville.
The event was hosted by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Trimberger and Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Trimberger, and six grandchildren, all of Neillsville.
A sister, Mrs. O. E. Wang, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. V. E. Trimberger, had
charge of the guest book and gifts. Granddaughters Lisa Trimberger and Diane
Trimberger assisted by Mrs. Lee Garbisch, served punch. The cake was cut by Mrs.
Wayne Trimberger and Mrs. Eugene Trimberger, assisted by Mark Trimberger and
Mrs. Garbisch.
A short program was presented. A mock wedding was staged by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Humke, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Fravert, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Toburen and Marilyn and
Kathy Fravert. A song honoring the Trimberger’s was composed by Mrs. Norman
Faber. As the Fabers were unable to attend, the composition was played by Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Searles. Mrs. Zetti Young also composed a poem for them. Two
clarinet solos, “Long, Long Ago” and “Abide With Me” were played by Rhonda
Trimberger assisted by Susan Trimberger.
Pastor Everett Schleef of Zion Lutheran Church gave a short talk, and the
Trimberger’s’ nephew, Pastor Dale Trimberger gave the table prayer.

Many attended from the Granton, Chili, Neillsville and Lynn areas as well.
A steak dinner was served to all by the Zion Ladies Aid Society, of which Mrs.
Trimberger is a member.
The top half of the huge anniversary cake was taken to Memorial Home to be
served to residents there. Mr. and Mrs. Trimberger have many friends at the home
who were unable to attend the observance. Mrs. Richard (Erdine) Struensee made
the cake.
