Kostick, Steve W. (26 December 1930 - 22 June 2016) With Flag
Steve W. Kostick, Jr., 85, of Conrath, WI, found peace early Wednesday morning,
June 22, 2016, at his home in the presence of his loving friend, Sylvia Weiler.
Steve was born December 26, 1930, in Lublin, WI to the late Steve Sr. and Mary
(Novak) Kostick.
Steve was employed as a cheesemaker at Blue Moon Cheese Factory in Thorp, WI,
and was later the resort owner of Kostick’s Resort on Lake Holcombe, which he
acquired from his father.
Steve loved trapping, fishing, and hunting. Steve was honorably discharged from
the U. S. Army after serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include special friend, Sylvia Weiler of Conrath, WI; one son, Gary
(Tracy) Kostick of Ladysmith, WI; one brother, Donald Kostick of Gainesville,
GA; one grandson, Lee Kostick of Bloomington, MN; one step-grandson, Justin
(Jenny) Kron of Stanley, Wi; two step-great-grandchildren: Eve and Noah Kostick
of Stanley, WI; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Emil and Ervin; and sisters:
Lucy and Dorothy.
Private services will be held with burial in St. Mary’s Polish National Catholic
Cemetery, Lublin, WI.
The family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Dean Delmastro, Dr. Mark
Steinmetz, Dr. Adriane Gianlupi and Marshfield Clinic Cancer Care at Sacred
Heart Hospital in Eau Claire for their exceptional, kind care.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family with
