Borchardt, Charlotte M. (Heppner) (12 APR 1914 - 18 OCT 2007)
Charlotte M. Borchardt, 93, F1611 County Road N, Edgar died Thursday, October
18, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
She was born April 12, 1914 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Robert and
Catherine (Steinenberger) Heppner. On June 16, 1934 she married William G.
Borchardt at St. John Lutheran Church, town of Wein. He preceded her in death on
August 18, 1969.
Charlotte and her husband William farmed in the town of Frankfort for many
years. She also worked for Marathon Cheese, enjoyed frying hamburgers at Rib
River Ballroom and worked in ginseng gardens for many years. Some of her
favorite pastimes included quilting and cooking but most of all she enjoyed
spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She is fondly
remembered by her family as an avid weather-watcher.
Survivors include her children, Jean (Ron) Reiche and Carol Borchardt, both of
Edgar and Betty (Gary) Walters, Wausau, her daughter-in-law, Pat (Ardell) Emon,
Stratford, her grandchildren, Dr. Jayne (Kurtis) Rowe, Jeff (Jill) Reiche, Gary
(Sue) Reiche, Renee Walters-Meyer, Rob (Amy) Walters, Tanya Mikula, Rick (Pam)
Borchardt, Angie (Frank) Guralski, and Amy (Cal) Reno, 16 great grandchildren,
her siblings, Stella Lamont and Bernice Hamilton, both of Abbotsford, Kay
Schraufnagel, La Crosse and Robert (Rhea) Heppner, Maiden Rock.
Besides her parents and husband, William G. Borchardt, she was preceded in death
by one son Robert Borchardt.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2007 at St. John Lutheran
Church ELCA, Cty. Rd. N, town of Wein. The Rev. Jeff Tarras will officiate.
Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, town of Wein. Friends may call on
Sunday from Noon until the time of services all at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church
Building Fund.
