Dassow, Robert J. Jr. (21 APR 1955 - 5 JUL 2016)

Robert J. Dassow, Jr., 61, of Medford, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, July 5, 2016.

Robert was born April 21, 1955 to Robert and Betty (Rochester) Dassow. He married Gail L. Wegerer on September 18, 1976. Gail survives.

Robert is further survived by two sons; Jeremy (Kelly) Dassow, and Corey (Trisha) Dassow, both of Medford, four grandchildren; Ella, Willow, Eden, and Arbor, siblings; Robin (Jean) Dassow of Medford, Debbie Richert of Medford, Susan Dassow of Eau Claire, Donna (Don) Kalmon of Medford, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert served his country in the United States Army National Guard. Following his service he then went on to drive over the road truck for Tombstone from 1984 until his retirement in 2014.

Robert enjoyed woodworking, and also the outdoors especially his time spent hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed traveling with his family to different Motocross races throughout the state. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Robert Dassow can be given to his family for designation at a later date.

Hemer Funeral Service of Medford and Rib Lake have been entrusted with arrangements.
