Omaha, Nebraska – Gary F. Ampe, son of Mr. Arthur Ampe of Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wisconsin, has been promoted to Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force at Omaha Air Force Station, Nebraska.

The sergeant, who formerly resided at 3849 John St., Madison, Wisconsin, is a graduate of East High School. His wife, Romona, is the daughter of Roman Koch of Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
